Item Description
Pair of 19th century wood frames with fancy gold fronts in a floral pattern 12.5x15.75" hold under glass a pair of very nicely hand colored prints with visible area of 9.5x12.5". The bottom edge of each is slightly trimmed with the third line of each inscription about 80% complete and easily readable. The first reads "Abraham Lincoln/Republican Candidate For/Sixteenth President Of The United States." The second reads "Hannibal Hamlin/Republican Candidate For/Vice-President Of The United States." Very small traces of tanning, primarily lower right corner of Lincoln and lower left corner of Hamlin. The colors are deep and attractive. A similar pair, untrimmed, but with more noticeable stain brought over $900.00 in a 2008 Heritage auction.
