Item Description
Each is 1-7/8x2.5". Presented here is the opportunity to pick up a nice group of 22 different Cuban baseball cards from the extremely scarce 1946-47 Caramelo Deportivo baseball card set. Similar to the previous year's issue, these cards were once again printed on very thin paper depicting black and white player photos and were intended to be pasted into an accompanying album. Fronts include the card number inside a baseball with card backs providing card number again along with player identification as well as bio information and a candy company ad at bottom. Over 60 cards from this series picture US Negro League ballplayers of the era. Checklist is found in the Standard Catalogue Of Vintage Baseball Cards. Due to album removal, condition of these cards typically suffers with ours ranging from Poor to Good, with most being in the Poor/Fair range. Lot sold as is. Richard Merkin Collection.
