8-3/8x11.25" weekly magazines, published by The Family Circle, Inc. Vol. 17, #17 (Oct. 25, 1940) has composite cover featuring Superman image and magazine content also includes three page "Don't Laugh At The Comics" article, which features images of comic strip characters Andy Gump, Popeye, Mutt & Jeff as well as Li'l Abner and photos of Dr. William Moulton Marston (Family Circle's psychologist who would go on to create Wonder Woman the following year), Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and M.C.
