Item Description
5x15.75" thin artboard w/inked original art by Fred Laswell (1916-2001). Lasswell was an American cartoonist best known for his decades of work on the comic strip Barney Google and Snuffy Smith. He was mentored by the original artist of Barney Google, Billy DeBeck and helped to create the Snuffy Smith character. He took over the title after DeBeck's death in 1942. Art is for Aug. 14, 1945 and features three panels, w/Sheriff Tate talking to Aunt Loweezy about Snuffy. KFS copyright strips in center panel. Back has "Two Weeks To Kill" title written in blue pencil. Lt. aging/wear. Overall Exc.
