Item Description
2-1/16x2.5". The 1948 Bowman set marked the company's entrance into the baseball card market. The set consists of 48 cards. The 1948 Bowman series also contains a dozen short prints that were removed from the normal 36-card printing sheet to accommodate high-numbered cards (#s 37-48).
Johnny Mize, nicknamed "The Big Cat", played in MLB from 1936-1953. He was a ten-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion. Mize was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1981. Autograph is distinct and well placed at the bottom of the card.
