Item Description
In 1911 four tobacco brands Red Sun, Old Mill, Turkey Red and Helmar produced a fabric baseball card known as "silks" They were folded into cigarette packs and given away as a promotion to encourage brand loyalty. Similar to the baseball cards these S74 silks used the same images of players used on the famed T205 baseball card set.

Frank Chance was an American professional baseball player. A first baseman, Chance played in Major League Baseball for the Chicago Cubs (initially named the "Orphans") and New York Yankees from 1898 through 1914. He also served as manager of the Cubs, Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. He was a two time World Series Champion in 1907 and 1908. Frank Chance was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1946.
