Item Description
This set of 2-3/8" by 3-1/8" blank-back stickers consists of 402 "cards" featuring members of the winter league players, along with former and future major leaguers. The 50 American Major League players are featured with a standard 1977 Topps design. These stickers were to be used in conjunction with an accompanying album that also contains information for each player. The set is riddled with spelling errors.
Willie Stargell, who spent his entire 21 year career w/the Pittsburgh Pirates (1962-1982). He was a 7-time All-Star, 1973 NL RBI leader, 1979 NL MVP, 2-time home run leader and 2-time World Series champion (1971, 1979). Willie Stargell was elected to the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1988.
