Item Description
1.5x2.25" card from the second of three annual issues during the Puerto Rican League winter seasons, these cards are similar to the previous year's set. 216 cards in the set. Glossy bw photo front w/text on back in red which serves as a "Play" designation for use as a card game.
Ford Smith pitched in the Cuban Leagues, Negro Leagues and Minor Leagues over parts of 16 seasons. He had a composite mark over all levels of 96-58 and was the first black pitcher in the New York Giants minor league system.
